Focus On: New Yarns!
New yarns galore have been arriving weekly at Knit Unto Others (sometimes daily). Would you like a one-skein shawl? Boboli Lace is perfect for that. (Don't be fooled by the name - this is more of a fingering weight yarn.) The pattern on the left is Here Be Water Dragons by Quinton Lime. It is a free pattern on Ravelry. The pattern on the right is Faro Easy by Wendy Johnson. It's a paid pattern on Ravelry that would look absolutely fabulous using two skeins of Boboli Lace. Click on the pictures to see these patterns on Ravelry. Faro Easy can be bought in-store at Knit Unto Others.
Do you like to knit socks but hate that they never look alike? Try Pairfect by Regia. This ingenious sock yarn has waste yarn at the beginning of where you would start each sock. They stripe and match perfectly. Maybe you want to learn to knit but like your learning a little more structured. If that's the case, Churchmouse Classroom is perfect for you! It takes the beginning knitter step by step through casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, ribbing, and more. Best of all, you will have a completed project at the end of each lesson.
Love shawls with two colors but not so great at matching colors? Try Wonderland Yarns Messenger Kit. It comes with the main color and contrasting color and several free patterns on the label, including the shawl on the right - Messenger Shawl Pattern a.k.a. Mesh-enger Shawl by Stephanie Shiman.
You can get all of this and more at Knit Unto Others!
